Tampa Bay restaurant inspection database

The Tampa Bay Business Journal has a handy tool for anyone who loves to dine out, like myself.  The people at TBBJ created a searchable database of over 27,000 restaurant inspections in the Tampa Bay Area.

By inputting the name  of the restaurant and the city its in, a detailed report of violations can be retrieved.   The data is public record and obtained from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation.

I gave it a shot and was shocked by the results on some of my favorite eateries.  Maybe this is a perfect instance when ignorance is bliss.
